With the end of school, that means sports have pretty much slowed down for a temporary period in school athletics. However, that is not the case in local youth league action.
One league currently playing is the Elizabethton Youth League football program which is played every Saturday at the LaPorte football grounds behind the Northeast Community Credit Union on Jason Witten Way and the field next to the ETSU nursing facility across from Elizabethton High School. tennis court.
On Saturday morning, the Green Hornets and Citizen Bank teams faced off on the soccer field. In these games, it’s not really about winning and losing, it’s about teaching the basics of football and giving children the opportunity to have fun and feel the feeling of being in a crew.
