Windsor’s Ella Moody Named 4A Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, Other Local Athletes Take All-State Honors – Greeley Tribune

Windsor sophomore midfielder Ella Moody has been named Class 4A Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, as released all-state women’s soccer teams on Tuesday.

The rosters are created by the Colorado High School Coaches Association with input from leagues and coaches.

This spring, Moody guided the Wizards to a 17-3 record and a second-place finish in 4A behind Northfield.

Moody’s led Windsor in scoring with 13 goals, nine assists and 35 total points.

Moody is joined in the All-State 4A First Team by two Wizards teammates: senior defender Jolie Jiricek and senior midfielder Carty Kingsbury.

Windsor senior midfielder Abby Bush earned second-team 4A honors, as did Wizards junior defenseman Emily Hinson, Northridge senior forward Kira Villarreal and Grizzlies second-year forward Sunnie Yarnell.

Northridge junior midfielder Katy Jo Werner was an honorable mention 4A.

Fort Lupton senior forward Reygan Garcia was a 3A second team selection, as was Resurrection Christian senior midfielder Ellie Potkonjak.

Potkonjak Cougars teammate, sophomore forward Sophia Kelly, received a 3A honorable mention.
