WATCH: Soccer game witnesses WWE action as player is knocked down unconscious

Football is a violent sport and injuries can happen at any time during the game. It could be a normal heart attack injury in its own right on the court (yes, it did). However, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre reacted to a recent match where the goalkeeper performed a “claymore kick” at a player on the opposing team.

Yes, a “claymore kick,” a move that looks quite dangerous when McIntyre is playing with single boots, was performed on a soccer field with cleats.

The injured player is from Espérance Sportive de Tunis, also known as ES Tunis, which is a club based in Tunisia. What is more captivating, however, is that the keeper who hit him is playing for the same national team – Libya.

Yes, you read that right. The goalkeeper and the injured player play for the same national team; however, in this match the striker and goalkeeper were at opposing clubs.

The former WWE Champion apparently got his hands on the clip and took to Twitter to share his reaction to it.

“Guess we weren’t specific enough. Don’t try this at home … at school, anywhere … especially in the field.” he wrote.

Is Drew McIntyre no longer in the title photo?

McIntyre was a formidable WWE Champion and was always involved in the title photo, even after losing it. However, after being drafted for Friday Night SmackDown, his chances of becoming champion again seem slim.

The Blue Mark’s first prize is Roman Reigns’ WWE Universal Championship, and it doesn’t look like WWE is going to let McIntyre pin Reigns any time soon.

What makes this argument strong is the fact that McIntyre lost his one-on-one match to “The Tribal Chief” in last year’s Survivor Series PPV.
