The long wheelbase Volkswagen ID. Buzz won’t arrive in the US until 2024, but that hasn’t stopped the company from unveiling a new short-wheelbase variant.
Of course, short is an understatement as we’re talking about the Tiny Buzz, which is a football/soccer delivery vehicle that debuted at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 tournament in the UK.
Volkswagen hasn’t said much about the model, but it’s basically a pint-sized ID. Buzz with a rainbow livery. However, there is a big difference because the Tiny Buzz has a circular hole in its roof that allows the model to hold a soccer ball. This comes in handy as the Tiny Buzz is “driven” onto the field to deliver balls as needed.

Sign of the times, the Tiny Buzz has an official Twitter account which is shared with a Tiny ID.4. This latest model has been around for quite some time and has delivered balls across the world.
In an effort to stop saying balls, let’s go back to the full-size ID. Buzz rolling on the MEB platform. It will initially launch in Europe with an 82 kWh battery that powers a rear-mounted electric motor developing 201 PS (150 kW / 204 hp) and 229 lb-ft (310 Nm) of torque. It is expected to be joined by “more battery versions with different power levels” in 2023.
