Finalists (listed in alphabetical order)
Kieran Gilson, Warwick
The goalkeeper has recorded two shutouts and allowed one goal in Warwick’s opening three games to help the team start 30 this season.
Jason Mitchell, SS Seward
Mitchell scored five goals in the Spartans’ 8-1 win over Chapel Field on September 7. He went on to score three goals, including the winner with two minutes remaining in his side’s 4-3 victory in two extra times. on Liberty on September 9.
Bryan Pinos, Goshen
Pinos scored the lone goal in the Gladiators’ 1-0 overtime win over Valley Central on Sept. 8. He added a goal in the team’s 3-0 win over Washingtonville on September 7.
Kevin Rios, Middletown
Rios scored the game-winning goal in the first overtime period to lead the Middies to their first win in two years and a 2-1 win over Rondout Valley on September 6.
Ellis Urgent, Cornwall
Urgent’s goal, assisted by Ryan Surowiec with 14:47 left in the second half, led Cornwall to a non-league win on 7 September.
