Millie Groves, Central Bucks South, women’s volleyball
Millie Groves reached 1,000 career wins for the Central Bucks South women’s volleyball team in Tuesday’s game against Abington. Groves became the first player in CB South history to reach the milestone. The senior started the season with 786 career wins and needed 17 to enter Tuesday’s competition. Groves had 28 kills in the game as she propelled the Titans to a 3-2 victory.

Jade Lauzier, Hatboro-Horsham, women’s volleyball
The junior midfield hitter led the team with seven kills, six blocks and four aces in their game against New Hope-Solebury on Thursday. She had 10 aces against Cheltenham earlier last week and had six kills and three blocks against Council Rock North.
Jose Rivera, Neshaminy, boys football
The senior forward scored two goals and an assist last week, a goal against Council Rock North on Monday and a goal and an assist against Bensalem on Wednesday. Neshaminy’s boys’ football is still recovering from two key losses from the start of the season with a 4-2-1 record so far.

Men’s football: Pennsbury senior striker Nick Sieger scored two goals against Truman on Monday. The Falcons defeated the Tigers 4-1.
Men’s soccer: George School senior forward Bryce Flowers scored four goals and added an assist as George School beat Perkiomen School 10-3 to give the Cougars their third consecutive victory as they improved to 4-1-1. Flowers scored two goals in Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Abington Friends in the Cougars’ FSL opener.
Friday Night Highlights::A look at the action in week 5 around Bucks and Montgomery counties
Women’s football: Council Rock North senior Taylor Brennan broke the scoreless tie two minutes from the end of regulation time to give CR North a 1-0 victory over Pennsbury on Wednesday. Brennan logged on from a penalty that even the Indians record at 3-3.
Women’s football: Neshaminy junior Avery Papendick scored in double overtime to give Neshaminy a relentless 1-0 victory over Council Rock North. Goalkeeper Hannah Labadie recorded her third consecutive shutout and allowed only one goal this season to Neshaminy (5-0).

Women’s Football: New Hope-Solebury: Monday’s game against Cheltenham featured a number of firsts for juniors Meeghan Griffith and New Hope-Solebury. The junior scored her first career goal, which was also the first goal of the season for the Lions (1-3), who won their first game of the year by beating Cheltenham 1-0.
Women’s football: Upper Moreland sophomore Brooke Lobban scored the winning goal as Upper Moreland made a remarkable second-half comeback against undefeated William Tivez on Monday. Kyra Favors scored twice for the Golden Bears, who, led 3-0 at halftime, won 4-3, holding the Panthers scoreless in the second half. The Golden Bears went undefeated at 4-0, while the Panthers fell to 4-1.

Field hockey: Celeste Derstine of Dock Mennonite scored three goals and assisted on two more as Dock Mennonite improved to 5-1 by beating Delco County Christian 8-1 on Tuesday.
Golf: Ajeet Bagga, sophomore at Germantown Academy, posted a 2-under-33 score at the Inter-AC League Invitational at Gulph Mills on Tuesday. Bagga placed first in the individual standings while leading the Patriots to first place with 181 team points, eight points better than the next closest competitor.

Golf: Notre Dame of Holy Ghost Prep Commitment Calen Sanderson finished second overall in the PIAA District 1 Qualifier Wednesday at Turtle Creek Golf Course. Sanderson shot a 74 to qualify for the Class 3A Individual Tournament and helped the Firebirds secure a tag spot.
Golf: The Central Bucks West golf team wrapped up a regular season game with a perfect 13-0 as the Bucks won the Colonial SOL title. The Bucks had outstanding performances last week from Ryan Quinn, who posted a 36 against Souderton, and Kevin Lydon, who led all golfers with a 37 in a tri-match against CB East and North Penn.
