Shenendehowa won first places in this week’s suburban council tournaments in field hockey, men’s soccer and women’s soccer when the parentheses were released on Sunday morning.
Shenendehowa’s three teams posted a combined 31-1-3 regular season record.
No.2 Shenendehowa and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake both received semi-final passes for the six-team field hockey tournament. Both quarter-finals are on Monday, with No.4 Guilderland facing No.5 Shaker at 4:00 p.m. Afrim’s Sports Park in Latham and No.3 Saratoga Springs hosting No.6 Columbia at 5:30 p.m. The semi-finals are on Wednesday, with Shenendehowa hosting the winner from Guilderland / Shaker at 4:15 pm and Burnt Hills hosting the winner from Saratoga Springs / Columbia at 5. The championship game is on Friday.
The men’s eight-team soccer tournament kicks off on Tuesday. In the top half of the group, Shenendehowa will host Colony # 8 at 3:30 p.m., # 4 Saratoga Springs will host # 5 Guilderland at 6:30 p.m. In the bottom half of the table, Christian Brothers # 2 L The Academy will host No.7 Albany at 2pm, coinciding with the kick-off of No.3 Niskayuna’s home game against No.6 Shaker. The semi-finals will take place on Thursday and the championship game is scheduled for Saturday.
The women’s soccer tournament also kicks off Tuesday. The top half of the group includes # 1 Shenendehowa hosting # 8 Colony at 5:45 p.m. and # 4 Columbia hosting # 5 Guilderland at 6:15 p.m. The lower half of the rack features Shaker # 2 hosting # 7 Saratoga Springs at 5:30 p.m. and # 3 Niskayuna facing # 6 Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at 4:30 p.m. at Schenectady High School.
The men’s and women’s soccer playoffs will also feature consolation tournaments for teams that finished ninth and below in the regular season standings.
