During his freshman year at college, Pawelczyk controlled acting like a vet. She has 21 goals, almost half of her team’s total of 44, an domination that has earned her the distinction of SOS All-Star Athlete of the Week.

“We’ve done a lot of hard work and we’ve always played game by game, acting like it’s the first game of the season, not looking at any of our past games and just trying to look to the future,” said Pawelczyk on his team’s success. “I’ve been training with my club, Rush, for a while now. And they helped me with my shoot. So I expected to be able to score goals.”

Ludden’s coach Pat Cassalia said he had an idea of ​​the kind of perspective he might have at Pawelczyk as soon as he saw her at summer camp. This momentum continued once the games started in earnest.

“I remember working well with the team and we had a good dynamic together, all working really hard to get ready for the preseason,” Pawelczyk said of the summer jobs. “I set myself standards to try to score every game. But I felt a defensive pressure on me, pushing harder and trying not to let myself get shot with my right foot as most people know I’m with my right foot.

“He just told me to take a deep breath and try to make the right decision in what I think is best because I can see the pitch from my point of view and it might be different from my point of view. ‘a different person. “

Pawelczyk set a standard of consistency by finding the back of the net at least once in each of his first 11 games. The race ended in Game 12, although the most important streak remained intact.

“I wouldn’t mind not scoring as long as we get the win. I would probably be mad at myself if I was in my game and we didn’t do as well as we wanted and we didn’t get the win. But as long as we win, I don’t care if I score in the game.
