BOYS SOCCER

North Smithfield 5, West Cranston 0: The Northmen started fast and never looked back, scoring 4 goals in the first half to shut out the Falcons in their Division II game. North Smithfield got three goals from Aidan Welcome and one each of Josh Neves and Nick Lamoureux. Northmen Goalie Sam Beauchemin made eight saves and the Falcons goaltender Angelo Izzi saved nine in defeat.

Scituate 2, Blackstone Valley 1: austin simas scored both Spartans goals, both unassisted, in the Division IV win. Anselmo Perez had the only tally for Blackstone Valley with an assist credited to Nicholas Osorio.

Hendricken 4, at Barrington 0: Landon Picillo scored twice, Jacob Coates and Jared Badillo each added a goal and a keeper Angelo Roca registered 5 in the Hawks division that I win. Liam Helfrich made 6 saves for the Eagles.

GIRLS SOCCER

Chariho 3, Smithfield 0: Tessa Azzinaro marked twice and Kaitlyn Rousseau added a third goal and Ashley Simmons served two assists in the Chargers win. Reid Dos Santos had six saves to preserve the shutout.

Pilgrim 3, Room 1: Gillian Brown scored all three goals for the Patriots and Amaya Cafe helped on every score in this Division 1 game. Jordan Vrees scored the Rams’ lone goal. Jenna Madden had 8 stops for Pilgrim and Kennedy Smith had 10 for La Salle in the loss.

East Greenwich 1, West Cranston 0: Abby Lewis scored on a cross from Ella Kaufman with one minute remaining in the Division I contest to clinch victory for the Avengers. Oceane Orlandi made six saves for the Falcons in the loss.

FIELD HOCKEY

Rocky Hill 6, Cranston 0: Anna McLaughlin found the goal four times to help the Mariners shut out Cranston. Mackenzie Carney and Kaileigh Kelleher also scored for Rocky Hill and the keeper Dalila Tulley recorded 7 saves. Cranston Keeper Maura Kitterick made 15 saves in the loss.

GIRLS TENNIS

Narragansett 4, Rogers 3: Victories in two sets (6-0, 6-0) of the third doubles team of Nicole De Souza and Stella Carroll instrumental in the Mariners victory.

Westerly 4, South Kingstown 3: The team n°3 in doubles of Caroline Wade and Mia Urso knocked out their opponents in straight sets (6-3, 6-2) to help decide the Bulldogs’ victory.

Mount St. Charles 4, Mount Hope 4: The Mounties won just one singles match, but managed to sweep all three doubles matches, including a 7-5, 6-4 win over the No. 3 tandem of Caroline Monaco and Kaylee Thrul.

Portsmouth 4, Cumberland 3: The Patriots have won all four singles wins, including Mariyn Olinger’s 6-1, 6-0 win for fourth in singles.

VOLLEYBALL GIRL

Central Falls 3, Juanita Sanchez 0: (25-17, 25-23, 25-21) Joana Rodriguez recorded 8 victims and Melanie Rodriguez scored five aces in the CF victory. JV – tied 1-1 (ran out of time in third set)

Saint-Raphael 3, North Smithfield 0: (25-3, 25-19, 25-12) Sadie Lallier and Ava Hill each made 7 kills and Olivia Harris added 16 assists for the Saints in the Division II win. Carly Samek claimed four victims and Mackenzie Marcoux delivered five assists for the Northmen. JV-SR, 2-0.

East Providence 3, Middletown 0: (26-24, 25-9. 25-12). The Townies’ Catherine Bernhardt had 6 kills, 6 aces, 2 blocks and teammate Brooklyn Feola added 6 kills and 8 digs to help the EP dominate Mioddletown. the islanders Olivia Stay had 4 aces and 10 assists in the Division II loss.

Westerly 3, Rogers 0: Ava Tenuta had 4 aces, 5 kills and 5 digs and summer bruno had 6 aces, 4 kills and 4 digs as the Bulldogs shut out the Vikings (25-22, 26-24, 26-24) in Division II action. Cherry Danaysha had 2 kills, 10 blocks and 2 digs in the loss to Rogers. JV-W, 2-0.

South Kingstown 3, Portsmouth 2: The Rebels outlasted the Patriots in this Division I contest (20-25, 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 15-9) as Ava Brock and Gaia Copelli helped pave the way for SK. Portsmouth Avery Snyder and Morgan Casey each had 10 wins in defeat.

Pilgrim 3, Lincoln 1: (15-25, 25-16, 25-12, 25-23) The Patriots had strong performances from Kaleigh Catucci (9 kills, 1 ace, 3 recoveries), Gianna Ramos (8 kills, 3 aces, 7 blocks) and Janelli Campos (2 kills 5 blocks) in victory. The Lions were solid at net in the loss with Casey Weaver recording 13 kills and Chanel Ghazal adding 7 kills and 4 aces.

Chariho 3, Barrington 0: (25-14, 25-16, 25-17). Finleigh Callahan led the Chargers with 6 aces and 8 kills. Lexi Cole had 18 assists and 11 digs.

Cumberland 3, Burrillville 0: (25-19, 25-8, 25-13).
