GREENSBORO — Two football players from Hickory Daily LogThe coverage area of spanning Catawba, Caldwell and Alexander counties was selected Monday as a member of the West roster for the North Carolina Coaches Association’s annual East-West All-Star contest. The East-West women’s soccer game will take place on July 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Macpherson Stadium at the Bryan Park Soccer Complex.
Madeline Mosteller of Hickory and Alexis Wolgemuth of Fred T. Foard, recent graduates of their respective high schools, will represent the Western Foothills 3A Conference in Greensboro. East Lincoln’s Deana Poteat and Cambell Vander Haar will also represent Western Foothills 3A.
As previously announced, Hickory’s Gabriela Greenard, Alexander Central’s Julianna Walter and North Lincoln head coach Brad Magnum – previously West Caldwell’s coach – are members of the West team for the East women’s basketball game.
