Neymar has arrived in Fortnite, and one of the new challenges requires you to drop the soccer ball toy 500 yards away as Neymar Jr. This challenge comes immediately after unlocking the Neymar Jr outfit by completing player quests of the island, and it’s a first test fixture for the Brazilian soccer star. This challenge looks complicated on paper, but it’s really simple if you have the right strategy. Here’s how to throw the soccer ball 500 yards as Neymar Jr in Fortnite.
How to knock down the soccer ball toy 500 yards as Neymar Jr in Fortnite
To kick the soccer ball, all you have to do is equip the Soccer Ball Toy emote and then use it during a game. You don’t have to cover the entire 500 meter distance in one kick. Instead, you can perform multiple smaller kicks until your total distance reaches 500 yards. You can make this a little easier by building a small ramp and hitting the ball from above. Don’t build too high, though, as the ball will disappear if it gets too far from your character and the kick won’t count if the ball disappears. The challenge also only tracks horizontal distance and not vertical distance, so building a very high ramp and throwing the ball won’t add too many meters to your total distance.
Really, all you have to do is find a secluded spot where other players won’t bother you and just use the Soccer Ball Toy emote over and over until the challenge is complete. It’s recommended to do this in Team Rumble so you can respawn if you get knocked out. Remember that the ball will disappear if it gets too far away from your character that you don’t want to throw it off a mountain or something. Try to aim for small kicks from 30 yards to be safe. Just hit the ball a few times and the challenge will be over in minutes.
Upon completing this challenge, you will unlock the Joia Trophy Back Bling. There are plenty of other Neymar Jr quests to complete this season in Fortnite, so there’s a lot of work to be done if you want to score all the football-themed rewards. Some of the other challenges require you to score a goal with the soccer ball toy or take out opponents as Neymar Jr, and completing epic quests will unlock even more items for Neymar.
