Washington Capitals Captain Alex Ovechkin signed a one-day contract with Dynamo Moscow yesterday to make his professional football debut in a friendly match against Amkal, a talented team full of social media stars and bloggers.
Ovechkin actually scored in the game, hitting the far corner of the net from the surface to repair. A smiling Ovechkin celebrated with the same intensity and enthusiasm he would normally have in a hockey game, leaping high in the air with both arms reaching skyward like Cristiano Ronaldo.
